How to prevent cupcakes drying out

So what’s the secret to moist cupcakes? Two things you need, syrup and an airtight container. Once the cupcakes have cooled prick them with a skewer then make up a syrup and brush them lightly. Don’t be sparse. You want the syrup to infiltrate the cupcakes. Then store in an airtight container until ready to use.

Syrup

-= Ingredients =-
1/3 cup of jam, apricot if you have it
2 teaspoons of cointreau or something similar (optional)
100ml boiling water

-= Instructions =-
Whisk the jam with 100ml boiling water until smooth. Remove any lumps and stir through liqueur if using.
